What a senior generalist actually is
"Generalist" often gets used as a polite word for "not very deep at anything." That is not what we mean. A senior generalist is an engineer whose depth is in fundamentals — data modelling, API design, concurrency, testing, how systems actually fail — rather than in one framework's release notes.
